History The Partnership for Community Growth & Development is a private/public approach to economic development for the Liberty Area. This exciting public/private Partnership was launched by the Liberty Area Chamber of Commerce in late January, 2004 and built on a solid foundation of teamwork . . . . . . . . teamwork among key leaders in business, municipal and county government, higher education, and pro-business and civic organizations. The Partnership continues to develop under strong leadership and through the input and involvement of a great number of community visionaries. Since its launch, the Partnership has hired a full-time professional economic developer, established its not-for-profit status, contracted with the City for services and solicited support from the private sector. Leaders have put into place a plan of work and a budget. Much is yet to be done . . . |
