"In an era of social promotion and graduation,
the quality of public schools is a major concern to companies
that will soon be looking to these young adults as future employees." Bill
King, Editor of Expansion Management Magazine a leading
economic development publication. Bill goes on to note, " It
(public education) is, above all else, the source of its future
work force, and how well that district performs will go a long
way in determining whether that company will remain in that
city -- or if it even remains in business at all." |

“Employee turnover can have a huge impact
on labor costs. Training and re-training add significantly
to the expense side of the Profit & Loss Statement. Our
Liberty store has the lowest turnover rate of all the stores
in our system. Now THAT’s good for business!”
Lou DeMarco, Store Director, Liberty Price Chopper. Lou served as the
Liberty Area Chamber’s immediate-past chairman. |

"The ability to hire
and retain qualified staff has been critical to our growth.
A hospital employment base is incredibly diverse with the
skill base ranging from housekeepers to the highly technical
skills in nursing, pharmacy and medical technology. The
classic self-sufficiency and self-determination of hard
working folks is a distinct advantage for the employment
base of Liberty Hospital. While productivity is
typically difficult to measure in the health care industry,
Liberty Hospital consistently is among the most efficient in
the state of Missouri when measuring the number of hours worked
to the number of patient days of care rendered in our hospital.
Liberty Hospital is so fortunate to be located in such
a supportive and progressive community."
Joseph W. Crossett, Administrator, Liberty Hospital |
